Genova Heights Overview
The top is the drawing also seen on the cover page looking down on the area where Laurel's school resides. Below is a close-up of one of the two buildings she loves.
Others
The top drawing is of a kid in grade nine that gives Laurel a hard time for no reason. His empty expression makes me laugh. Below are Toby and Chelsea; a girl who doesn't understand or care for Laurel's condition.
GH Cover Page Sample
The comic book I've been working on. The premise:
In her senior year of high
school, seventeen-year-old Laurel Gregor is finding it impossible to
concentrate in class or complete her studies. This has given her a complete repulsion
for school entirely. If she wasn’t stressed enough, now her high-strung principal Mr.Maler, is keeping an eye on her. Laurel's only solace is her secret that in fact with enough momentum, she can fly. When she does fly she has a strange hobby of going through
other people’s homes, especially two old buildings in
Genova Heights near her school.
AMS PG#2
Alexis feeling jaded suddenly appears in another world, meeting the fairies that helped him long ago. They go by the names Julia and Sonia and eerily look like his sisters on the other page....
AMS PG1
My sister and I as kids wrote and a drew a book for our brother called 'Alexis and The Magic Suspenders'. A story in which he finds magical suspenders. We decided to do a new issue over ten years later when we had at least slightly improved as a writer and an artist. In this one Alexis has grown up and does not believe his suspender-wearing adventures ever happened. That is what our porch looks like as I am lazy and hate drawing backgrounds. This is also impressive because it usually takes a lot to get me to draw anything for anyone.
Freakout
A girl starting to convulse. I think I had a plan to draw a bunch of keys of this girl distorting and changing into some creature. I didn't get to it but I still like the idea.
Thirty Minute Drawings in pencil
Drawings I did at a sketch night. There's always that time when you finish early and start doodling till the pose ends. I think in the far left corner of the top drawing is a caped woman chasing a pig....
